Need a Qualified Electrical Contractor?!

IBEW Local 573 services our contractors and their customers throughout Trumbull County and parts of Ashtabula, Geauga, Mahoning and Portage counties in Ohio’s Mahoning Valley region with a highly skilled electrical workforce of inside wiremen – while also providing our members with all the benefits of belonging to the world’s most progressive trade union, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

The IBEW Local 573 is proud to partner with these organizations:

IBEW Local 573 members and apprentices are trained though the Warren Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee, whose programs at taught at a state-of-the art training center in Warren and are registered with the Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and training.

Training is Free and Local 573 apprentices earn a salary while they learn – in the classroom and on the job.

Another path for a person to join our ranks is Construction Wireman / Construction Electrician Program. This makes it possible for an individual who is unable to complete an apprenticeship for any reason to still gain and maintain employment and education in the electrical construction industry. This program permits the participant to advance at their own pace and still be a proud member of the best team in the world.

IBEW Local 573 electricians and apprentices work for NECA-IBEW.

Local 573 members adhere to the IBEW Code of Excellence while on any jobsite, thereby working diligently to:

  • Provide our employing contractors with an abundant supply of highly qualified electricians;
  • Promote harmonious working relationships between our labor and our contractor’s management; and
  • Advance the region’s economy and the well-being of its citizens.

IBEW Local 573 is committed to the welfare of its members and their families – so our union provides them with the services they need and deserve to help secure the lives and careers they desire. We work together to address and promote the issues that affect our industry and our union:

  • Member Recruitment
  • Contractor Recruitment
  • Wages and Benefits
  • Worker Training
  • Jobsite Safety
  • Political Action

Representing our membership, Local 573 elevates the entire inside electrical industry while actively supporting issues that advance our employment, moral, intellectual and social conditions. Meanwhile, we also promote the region and take active roles in the community as volunteers and civic leaders.
